This is the current recommendation from the Ontario Real Estate Association to all of its members:
“…the Province has reduced capacity limits for real estate open houses from 50 to 10 people indoors, where physical distancing can be maintained. To be clear, these new restrictions apply to Ottawa, Peel and Toronto only at this time. OREA is pleased that the Government is listening to our advice on putting restrictions on open houses and we are hopeful that in the very near future they will go a step further and ban them Province-wide. Amid rising COVID-19 case counts, however, our message to OREA Members continues to be that REALTORS® should not do open houses and instead use virtual tools first and to the greatest extent possible. Ontario REALTORS® should continue to advise clients to use virtual open houses, virtual showings or in-person safe showings to show and view properties.”
