6. Signing a Listing Agreement – Selling

The first formal step in marketing your property is to enter into a Listing Agreement. This is a contract which commits you to allow me as a representative of Royal LePage Signature Realty to actively market your home for a defined period of time and commission fee.

After the Listing Agreement is signed, I will begin fulfilling the marketing plan activities. When your home is ready for showings, the listing will go online and buyers’ agents will begin bringing buyers to view your home.

Once an offer is received, I will discuss the offer with you. You can choose to either accept the offer, reject it entirely, or submit a counter-offer. The offer might go back-and-forth until either both parties agree, or one side decides to end the negotiations.
